Time: 18.30 for 19.00 start
With up to 60 electronic and camera control units in modern vehicles responsible for over half the systems - from steering and suspension to safety systems and lighting - the technician has been catapulted from a world of traditional repair to high-tech operator. In particular, the number of driver assistance systems that process information from cameras and radar systems is increasing rapidly, presenting significant challenges for the repair specialist.
The latest device to enter the UK market is the CSC tool (Camera & Sensor Calibration). Developed by Hella Gutmann Solutions for workshops, bodyshops and glass specialists, the affordable tool communicates with the vehicle's system transmitter to ensure the correct calibration of the vehicle's axis. This calibration is critical to ensure that safety systems such as the electronic steering angle sensor and 'intelligent lighting' technology is correctly aligned.
Martyn Shaw from Hella Gutmann will give an overview of the CSC Tool, including how it works and the range of benefits provided from using it.
