Speaker: Peter Leake, Jaguar Training Consultant
Time: 19.45 start
Jeremy Clarkson once famously said "For God's sake, Jaguar, stop making concepts and start building cars!" He made this comment when Jaguar had just delivered another stunning concept - of the new F-Type! But this does prompt questions of those who follow Jaguar's development - what cars, or concepts, have Jaguar developed over the years, why, and what ever happened to them?!
This talk looks at some of those 'concepts', why they were developed and what ultimately happened to them. Did they just 'happen' as Clarkson suggests, or was there more to them? With so many to choose from, this talk will focus on a select number and you may be very surprised as to both their origins and the purpose for what they were developed!
The original XK120 started as a 'concept' - a launch platform for the all new XK engine - and we all know the success that came from that beautiful motor car - but what of the ALC, the R-D6, the CX-F and many more?
Our doors will open at 19:00 for an early opportunity to network with friends and colleagues.
