IMI on board with British Superbike star

The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has announced a sponsorship deal with British Superbike Championship (BSB) star Dan Linfoot to help promote the IMI Professional Register.  Dan Linfoot, who has recently signed with the Quattro Plant Kawasaki Team, will carry the Professional Register logo on his helmet during the 2014 BSB season which begins in April.  The BSB has a huge following of fans around the UK, with 12 rounds taking place across the country in front of massive crowds. BSB also receives significant TV coverage on ITV and British Eurosport.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Dan Linfoot will be actively helping to promote the IMI’s Professional Register to BSB fans, as well as supporting the IMI’s Accelerate programme, for young people studying automotive courses, through competition prizes which will include the opportunity to visit the Quattro Plant Kawasaki Team in the pit lane on race day.

Lesley Woolley, Head of Professional Development comments: “We are delighted to have signed this deal with Dan Linfoot, which provides us with a new and innovative opportunity to promote the Professional Register to motorsport enthusiasts. I also have no doubt that the additional activity Dan will be undertaking for the Accelerate program will be invaluable to our careers team.  We look forward to working with Dan throughout the year and wish him the best of luck in his championship campaign.”

Dan Linfoot concludes: “It’s great to have the IMI on board; as I’m extremely enthusiastic about the work they are doing in the automotive sector.  Many of my fans are passionate about motoring and I have no doubt that many of them will find the services and opportunities the IMI has to offer very useful.”
