Motor Industry Body Welcomes Theresa May Commitment to Helping Drivers of Older Diesels

“At last there seems to be some realisation that British drivers were misled about diesel” said Steve Nash, CEO of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) as Prime Minister Theresa May promised that drivers of older diesel cars would be helped.  This follows yesterday’s announcement by London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, that drivers of diesels will have to pay up to £24 per day to drive in the Capital.  And the Government is preparing to submit its updated clean air plans by April 24th which is also set to focus on reducing the numbers of older diesels on the roads.
