Motor Trader Summit awarded CPD status by the IMI

The one-day conference, themed around Boosting Dealer Profitability in 2018, will highlight best practises in the car retailing sector and is being held on 21 November at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

Best practice speaker sessions will cover the forthcoming GDPR rules governing the management of customer databases, how to manage unfavourable online customer reviews and how dealers can maximise on their social media marketing.

The event also includes an afternoon of keynote presentations from the chief executives of Peugeot UK, Eden Motor Group and Swansway as well as presentations from carwow, What Car?, Reevoo and the NFDA.

CPD credits will be available to all IMI members who attend the event.

"The IMI values all events which promote CPD across the motor industry. By looking at best practice for managers across a raft of dealer-critical areas, the Motor Trader Summit is helping to do just this," said Steve Nash, Chief Executive of the IMI.

"As such, we have decided to award those IMI members that attend with 6.5 CPD credits to go towards their yearly target."

Places are available now on a first-come first-served basis and are free to franchised and independent dealers and cost £295 (+VAT) for industry suppliers.

The Keynote Sessions will feature David Peel, the managing director of Peugeot UK, who has a unique industry perspective as a former dealer group boss having run the Robins & Day and PSA Peugeot Citroen groups.
