Take the next step and become an IMI member. Apply online or by post, just follow the steps detailed below.
Once we have received your online application for membership, we will write back to you to confirm your elected grade of membership and enclose your membership certificate. On settlement of your payment subscription, a membership card will be ordered for you. You will then have access to IMI membership benefits and will be placed on the IMI Professional Register (excludes Affiliate and Retired members).
1. Complete and sign the application form (please see the 'downloads' box on the right).
2. Enclose copies of your qualification certificates, CV and payment of £25 and send to The IMI, Fanshaws, Brickendon, Hertford SG13 8PQ.
3.On receipt of the above, your application will then be reviewed by the Professional Standards and Grading Committee and a grade of membership awarded to you (please see 'levels of IMI membership' on the right)
4. We will write back to you to confirm your elected grade of membership and enclose your membership certificate. On settlement of your payment subscription, a membership card will be ordered for you. You will then have access to IMI membership benefits.
Please allow 10 working days from receipt of your application for us to process your membership and send the relevant documents to you. For overseas members, please allow 28 days for processing.
Annual membership fees and methods of payment are detailed below. The subscription year runs from 1 April to 31 March. You will be charged a proportional fee based on the date of your election into membership.

Payment should be in Sterling or Euros (at the current rate of exchange), by cheque, bank draft issued by local banks, credit card or bank transfer. The IMI regrets that it cannot accept remittances forwarded in local currencies.
