Recognised by the main motor manufacturers and with Dubai set to host the 13th annual Automechanika Conference - the event is set to attract the key players from across the region.
The Dubai International Exhibition centre will host 30,000 business visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from 60 countries at the prestigious event on 2 - 4th June.
Skills and training is a big issue in the region, and the indigenous learning infrastructure is currently not fit for purpose for the speed of growth in both light and heavy vehicles. IMI is set to target these areas for organic growth; and hope to double the number of training facilities offering qualifications and Quality Assured Programmes in the Middle East over the next three years.
With this ambitious goal in mind - Herbert Lonsdale, IMI International Development Manager, was delighted to be invited by Automechanika to both address the conference, and to exhibit the IMI’s full product range to the vast audience.
Herbert Lonsdale said, "Since IMI publicly announced our international strategy, demand for our services and our attention to the needs of businesses and governments around the skills agenda has exploded. The Middle East is one of our priorities, so to be invited to attend and address this conference and take part in the exhibition with all the industry’s big names, while we were still in the planning stage of a approach to potential business partners in the region, is both an honour and a great good fortune."
Automechanika have chosen the IMI as a "Knowledge Partner" for its own expansion in the region. This will be a benefit for our centers in the Middle East over the next few years. It will give them an opportunity to showcase what they do and give them valuable exposure that will help in the hunt for new customers in the automotive market place.
