Event: "40 years at the front" Porsche Restoration Competition

Overall winners of this competition in 2014, this is an evening hosted by Chartwell Accident Repair Centre and Porsche Leicester, who have again joined forces to enter the "40 years at the front" Porsche Restoration Competition, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the launch of the first front engine Porsches.

Competing against 15 other partnerships from across the UK, this involves a bumper to bumper mechanical and body restoration of a 1993 Porsche 968 in an attempt to win this prestigious title competition.

There will be a presentation on both the body and engine restoration progress to date on site at Chartwell's along with a chance to have a look at the vehicle itself combined with a tour of their state of the art accident repair centre. Also on site for the evening will be a cutaway Porsche Panamera that is on loan from the Porsche Museum.

We will be meeting for food and refreshments at the college from 6.15pm as normal, and will then transfer next door to Chartwell's for 7pm for the start of the evening.
