Event: Autonomous Vehicles - The history of the development of driverless cars

The Sussex IMI Member Association invite you to an evening with Prof. Nick Reed, Head of R&D for a new global team set-up in London by Bosch to explore the future of mobility services.

If the media are to be believed, we will soon all be transported safely and comfortably on our journeys in driverless cars - but what is the truth of the matter?  

In this presentation and based on his own experience in developing and trialling automated vehicles, Nick will talk about Bosch and its role in automating the driving task, provide a potted history of the development of driverless cars, give a description of the different levels of vehicle automation and share some thoughts about where the future of mobility is headed.

Doors will open at 19:00 for our customary opportunity to network with friends and colleagues, so please come and join us for our first lecture in 2018.
