Event: A different approach to GT race car development

About the event

Members of The IMI have been invited to the following event, presented by The IMechE North West Automobile Division Centre.

This event will include an explanation of the full development of the Bentley Continental GT3, from road car to race car, including taking a different approach in the development process, from the choice of development partner to overcoming technical challenges on the vehicle.

Brian Gush will start with a brief overview of Bentley Motors Ltd, the brand and the history, leading into the reasoning for selecting the GT3 series for Bentley's return to racing.

The concept and development phases will be explained with detailed case studies on specific aspects of the car to show the challenges and how they were overcome to produce a championship winning race car.
