Event: The fun and challenge of racing 1960s Lotus racing cars

About the event

Andrew Garside started motorsport as a racing driver in historic racing cars around ten years ago. Since then he has built up a small collection of three original 1960s Lotus racing cars covering single seater (Lotus 20 Formula Junior), sports racer (Lotus 23b) and GT (a rare Lotus Elan Shapecraft).

His talk will cover the cars, the racing and the circuits, as well the journey of how he learnt to drive racing cars, from being a raw beginner to reaching the podium. The presentation will also include some video excerpts of racing footage.
