Event: The Motorcycling Lecture

About the event

A joint CPD event with IMI South Wales MA and SOE South Wales Regional Group.

This event looks at the work undertaken by three organisations which highlight the motorcycle and the persons who ride them.

Firstly the enthusiastic group of riders who use their skills, time and enthusiasm to help the Health Service in Wales in transporting blood supplies, plasma, documents between hospitals.

Then the Advanced Motorcycle Rider Trainers providing the motorcycle rider with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to become a safe, competent and responsible rider.

And the final part, the Police Motorcycle Policing Unit, where Officers have the additional responsibilities of patrolling on a motorcycle, specifically focused enforcement and engagement with motorcyclists on campaigns, escort work for abnormal loads and VIP visits, as well as traffic management for major events, stopping road crime.
