An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Improvement Engineer. Working within a small team, your role will be to drive the implementation of lean principles and methodologies through the production system and to deliver real improvements in productivity and cost reduction through the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques. You will work with teams from all areas of the business to identify and eliminate NVA activities throughout the company.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities
* Facilitate the achievement of Company targets in productivity and cost.
To take the Laser Cutting Process from concept through to Production, using knowledge gained from other client sites, developing the process from receipt of order through Specification, introduction & optimisation to volume production. Developing supplier sources and nominating/recommending sources for specifics. Nominating long term relationships (equipment/system suppliers). To support the Project Manager from a technical viewpoint, reviewing and introducing advancement of design and equipment proposed for future projects.
