John Fogarty delivered his well known presentation that turns selling on its head. For many years, selling, especially cars, has been the domain of slick salesmen with a multitude of closing techniques that often left the buyer leaving the showroom at least confused and frustrated at his treatment and often far from happy with his purchase.
With lively audience participation, John, with reference to the Consumer Protection Act and the importance of customer satisfaction, showed us how to use his six steps and convert selling into buying; in order that the customer would leave the dealership with a positive feeling and most importantly be an enthusiastic promoter of your business and ensure that the word is spread.
It was refreshing to hear through stories from the floor, that here in Norfolk, at least among IMI members present, the customer satisfaction message has already arrived.
Overall an enjoyable evening that drew many anecdotes from the audience of members and their guests and left us feeling uplifted and ready to promote a refreshing and positive approach to selling.
