Dr Paul Spear, developer of the Return on Investment Calculator, and leader of the "Benefits of training" research project, funded by the UK Government, is set to embark on a world ROI promotional tour. Kicking off in South Africa at the Automechankia Conference in Johannesburg, Paul will present to an audience of industry representatives and leaders of motor industry federations.

Paul was invited by the Retail Motor Industry Organisation of South Africa, which represents 1,000s of businesses across the country in every part of the sector. Paul Spear said "That RMI have invited us to take part in their conference 'The rewards ahead', at Automechankia, shows they are serious about pursuing growth in the sector and securing economic stability for their industry into the future."

"We hope that with our help they can get employers on board with a philosophy of continuous improvement and raising professional standards. The IMI can also help them with our comprehensive range of automotive qualifications, the tools they'll need to finish the job."

The RMI have proven to be fantastic hosts for the IMI team with introductions to some influential industry groups from South Africa, they have even lined up a meeting with Dr Florus Prinsloo, Chief Director from the Department of Higher Education & Training. ROI it seems is making friends in high places.

Next stop for the ROI tour, Middle East, South East Asia, China...

Watch this space for more information. If you're interested in knowing more about how ROI can help your business grow, contact Dr Spear at pauls@theimi.org.uk.
