Principal Engineer (Body Structures) required in Leeds Role: Principal Engineer Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Type: Full-Time, permanent Hours: Mon-Thu 8am - 4.45pm; Friday 8am-12.30pm We have an opportunity available for a Principal Engineer with expereince of new product development within the Automotive Industry, specialising in EV applications. The focus for this role is around managing an Engineering team to deliver the Body Structure components. Requirements: Degree-level education within an engineering topic (Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering); Automotive process knowledge; Mechanical engineering experience; Knowledge of CAD, CATIA V6 & 3D Experience toolset. Desirable skills / experience: A minimum of 5 years' current or very recent experience in component or system level delivery, at OE or first tier, in the Automotive Industry; Knowledge of vehicle electrification; Self motivated; Can make balanced decisions; CAD system knowledge (Solidworks, Catia or similar); Experience of new product development within the Automotive Industry; Excellent communication skills.
