HGV Technician – Permanent

Location: Perth, Scotland

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm, with every other Saturday, 7:00am – 1:00pm

About the Role

Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established company based in Perth, Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for a permanent position, working on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, including DAF and MAN.

The Role

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Work on a range of commercial vehicles, including DAF and MAN.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.
  • Ensure all work is completed to DVSA standards.
  • Complete relevant job cards and maintenance records.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Experience working on DAF and MAN vehicles would be advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is desirable.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm.
  • Every other Saturday: 7:00am – 1:00pm.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
