Vehicle Adaptation Engineer Vacancy – Cardiff
Salary: Up to £30-34,000 basic salary plus an annual bonus scheme based on company profit.
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Flexible shifts to suit.

Our client, one of the UK's largest specialists in vehicle adaptations for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Adaptation Installation Engineer to join their Cardiff operation.
Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing a variety of specialist vehicle adaptations, helping customers maintain their mobility, independence and confidence. The role will involve a combination of mobile installations at customer addresses and car dealerships, alongside workshop-based work when required. You will also be responsible for demonstrating newly installed products to customers, completing associated job reports and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a consistently high standard.
To be eligible, you will ideally have previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Engineer or in a similar hands-on engineering role. Previous vehicle adaptation experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential, as full training will be provided. A basic understanding of auto electrics would be beneficial, alongside a practical approach to problem-solving and a genuine interest in developing your technical skills. You must also have good customer-facing and communication skills, be comfortable working independently, have strong attention to detail and hold a valid UK driving licence.
