MIG/TIG Welder – Hinckley

Pay: £20.00 - £23.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Temporary (until February 2027)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm

MIG/TIG Welder – Immediate Start

HSL Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our client in Hinckley.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment on a temporary basis. We are looking for a skilled welder who can produce high-quality work while following engineering drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components.
  • Weld materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other metals as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning and fitting components.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Identify and correct welding defects where required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Complete work to required deadlines and quality standards.
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of welding equipment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a MIG/TIG Welder or similar welding role.
  • Strong MIG welding skills with TIG welding experience essential.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Good understanding of welding processes and health & safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
