Following internal progression, an established manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead a key production area. You will manage Team Leaders and Production Operatives across multiple manufacturing processes, combining hands-on leadership with a focus on quality, productivity and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

Production management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong people leadership skills and a hands-on, fair management style.

Experience managing large teams and developing individuals.

A track record of improving key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity and operational performance.

Relevant backgrounds include automotive, aerospace, textiles, footwear, sewing, fabrication and other labour-intensive manufacturing environments.

Desirable, not essential: an ILM or equivalent leadership qualification.What you'll do

Lead Team Leaders and Production Operatives across multiple manufacturing processes.

Monitor KPIs, carry out regular operational reviews and drive performance improvements.

Manage staffing, training, development, appraisals and employee engagement.

Deliver production targets while maintaining quality standards and meeting health and safety requirements.

Work with Continuous Improvement and Engineering teams to optimise manufacturing performance.

Support the development and expansion of the manufacturing operation as demand grows.Benefits and career development
