National Occupational Standards (NOS) Review 2019/20: Consultation Phase 2
The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) recently announced they were undertaking a review of two suites of National Occupational Standards (NOS) during 2019/20:
- Maintenance and Repair - Light Vehicle
- Autoglazing
A number of face to face meetings (Expert Working Groups) have now taken place across the four nations and we are ready to reveal the suggested amendments and will be looking for your feedback.
To view the amended NOS suites please see the ‘Quick Links’ section to on the right-hand side of the page titled ‘National Occupational Standards (NOS)’ and scroll down to the relevant suite of NOS.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Most suggested amendments are minor wording changes. However the Expert Working Groups all agreed that Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) should feature in both suites as this new technology is fast becoming the norm. A new ADAS unit has been developed and your input would be invaluable in ensuring it is suitable to be published.
A very short survey has been put together to collect your thoughts and comments – please click here.
Alternatively we would also welcome any emails with feedback and are happy to arrange telephone calls to discuss. To do so please contact Caroline Harris (carolineh@theimi.org.uk – (07827 856 564).
The IMI welcomes all who wish to participate - thank you for making this standard current and relevant.
