About the role

Sytner BMW Tamworth has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Service Workshop Controller to join our successful, award-winning team.

At the heart of our busy BMW Service operation is a talented team of Technicians, supported by experienced Service and Aftersales colleagues. As Workshop Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing these teams together, ensuring that work flows efficiently, productivity is maximised and every vehicle receives the attention and care our customers expect.

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our workshop, balancing workloads, managing priorities and keeping everyone informed and working towards a common goal.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and allocating work effectively, making the best use of technician skills, workshop capacity and available resources.

Monitoring workflow, progress and productivity to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Working closely with our Service Advisors, Parts team and Technicians to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Identifying and resolving potential delays before they become problems.

Supporting and motivating our Technicians, creating an environment where teamwork, accountability and pride in workmanship thrive.

Championing quality, efficiency and a right first time approach to everything we do.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving environment, where your organisation, judgement and ability to bring people together will make a genuine difference every day.

About you

We're looking for someone who understands that a successful workshop is about more than processes and productivity. It's about people, communication and creating the conditions for everyone to perform at their best.

You'll be someone who:

Thrives in a busy, demanding environment and enjoys making things happen.

Has excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Communicates confidently and effectively with colleagues at every level.

Understands workshop efficiency, productivity and the importance of getting things right first time.

Leads by example, earning the respect and confidence of the people around them.

Remains calm, positive and solutions-focused when priorities change.

Takes genuine pride in delivering outstanding results for customers and colleagues alike.

Above all, we're looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and the ambition to help us continually improve.
